摘要 PURPOSE: To prevent generation of the uneven surface or surface crack of the slab by prescribing the casting temperature, the melting point of the powder, the casting speed, the oscillation condition, and the specific water amount in achieving the continuous casting of stainless steel containing boron. CONSTITUTION: In the continuous casting of stainless steel containing >=0.1% boron, the casting is achieved with the casting speed and under the oscillation condition where the powder temperature indexδT defined by the formula I is >=150 deg.C to <=600 deg.C, and the powder flow-in index Fp defined by the formula II is >=0.1 to <=1.0, and the secondary cooling is achieved under the cooling condition where the specific water amount (w) defined by the formula III is <=4.0l/kg. Where, TLL is the casting temperature ( deg.C), Tm is the melting point ( deg.C) of the mold powder, S is the oscillation stroke (mm), Vc is the casting speed (mm/sec), (f) is the oscillation cycle (cycle/sec), Q is the amount of the secondary cooling water (l/min), M is the casting weight per unit time (kg/min).
