TREATMENT OF MOLTEN SLAG USING RICE HULL ASH

A heavy metal was dissolved by an acid treatment of the dust from an electirc furnace for steel or iron plant and a blast jurnace, followed by the heat-treatment and immobilization using the rice hull. The dissolved liquid was heat-treatmented at 450- 750 deg. C for 15- 180 minutes with the rice hull adjusting pH 2-4 by 1-10 wt.% of nitric acid to give a concrete admixture to increase a strength.
