PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically, properly conduct seal opening and replenishment in the replacement of a toner cartridge by operating a seal opening means when toner is required in the replacement of the toner cartridge. SOLUTION: A toner concentration sensor 360 which detects the toner density in the interior of a developing device 133 and judges whether toner should be replenished or not, a switch SW2 serving as a toner cartridge mounting detection means which detects whether a toner cartridge 200 is set or not, and a switch SW1 serving as a an opening/closing detecting means which detects the opening/closing of an opening/closing door 101 are arranged. When the switch SW1 detects the closing of the opening/closing door 101, a gear mechanism 320 serving as a seal opening means and a motor M01 are operated to surely, properly open the toner cartridge 200. Before shortage of toner within the developing device 133, the toner cartridge 200 can be replaced with enough time kept. |
