PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscope capable of preventing the destruction of a circuit by heat generation without entailing an increase of a space and increase of a cost. SOLUTION: This stroboscope 11 has a power source circuit 12 which boosts the voltage of a power source E1 by a power source boosting circuit 1 and charges this voltage into a main capacitor 13, a voltage detecting circuit 12 which detects the charging voltage of this main capacitor 13 and a control circuit 18 which controls the charging operation of the power source circuit 12 according to the charging voltage detected by this voltage detecting circuit 2. The control circuit 18 counts the number of times of the charging operation to the main capacitor 13 and detects the intervals of the charging operation. The temp. rise is suppressed by prohibiting the charging operation to the main capacitor 13 or having the intermittent charging executed or changing the charging stop voltage when judgment is made that the heating of the circuits is resulted in accordance with the number of charging time and charging intervals detected in such a manner. |
