PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the decomposition of a solvent and the breakage of carbon on the surface of an electrode and make a highly crystalline carbon material usable by covering the surface making contact with an electrolyte of the carbon forming an active material with an amorphous carbon. SOLUTION: In this carbon negative electrode for secondary battery, the surface contacting an electrolyte of carbon forming an active material is covered with amorphous carbon. The amorphous carbon means low crystalline carbons including an extremely small crystal formed of carbon having an unevenly laminated carbon surface and sp<2> hybrid orbital, carbon having a bonding other than sp<2> hybrid orbital, an the like. In this carbon negative electrode for secondary battery, it is preferable that the amorphous carbon may be a turbostratic structure carbon having an unevenly laminated carbon surface. |
