DYEING OF SYNTHETIC POLYAMIDE FIBROUS MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly and uniformly dye synthetic polyamide-based filaments or a mixed material comprising these filaments and other synthetic fiber or cellulose fiber by use of a reactive dye without developing any shade bar. SOLUTION: Filament yarns made from a synthetic polyamide-based homopolymer or copolymer with the content of terminal amino group at >=60 gram eq. per 1000kg of the polyamide polymer are dyed by using a prepared material comprising a dye of formula I ((n) is 1 or 2; F is a residue of disazo or polyazo dye, heavy metal complex-mono-, dis-, tris-azo dye or anthraquinone- or phthalocyanine-based dye; and so forth) or formula II (R is H or a 1-6C alkyl) or a mixture thereof so that the molar equivalent ratio: group-(SO2 CH= CH2 )n /group-[SO2 CH2 CH2 N(R)VX]n , is (90:10) to (60:40) [pref. (80:20) to (65:35)] (V is a covalent bond, 1-4C alkylene or group of the formula CONHCH2 CH2 ; X is a group making the corresponding dye soluble to water), or another prepared material comprising a dye of formula III (M is an alkali metal) or formula I or a compound of formula IV.
