PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain good quality of a finished product of a transfer image without causing detects such as voids in the transfer image and to improve the temp. latitude for transfer. SOLUTION: Each of the transfer sheet and the image acceptive sheet has a substrate having such a release layer as described below. (a) A release layer the surface of which is treated with irradiation of ion beams. (b) A release layer formed by applying a coating liquid containing dispersion of core-shell polymer particles. (c) A release layer consisting of at least two layers laminated with an adhesive layer. (d) A release layer consisting of at least two layers laminated in such a manner that at least one interface between layers is preliminarily subjected to physical and/or chemical surface treatment and then the layers are laminated. (e) A release layer consisting of at least two layers laminated by a tandem laminating method. (f) A release layer formed by applying a coating liquid having dispersion of polyolefin particles of <60μm particle size.
