Balancer assembly for reciprocating IC engine

The balancer for an IC engine including a crankcase having multiple cylinders within which are pistons. Each piston is connected to a connecting rod which themselves are connected to a common crank. The engine has two weights (7, 8) mounted under the crank. Each weight is driven in opposition to the crank by a cam. The two cams (1, 2) are fixed to the crank. The engine has a coupling for the two weights to assure their return movement. Each cam can have a drive cam for its respective weight and a counter-cam for the other weight.
