PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording material having high sensitivity, excellent storage stability, good latitude for conditions of heat treatment after exposure and excellent handling property by successively forming a photosensitive layer which contains a polymer compd. having alkali-soluble groups, a crosslinking agent and a compd. which produces acid by light or heat, and an IR absorbent, and an overcoat layer having adhesion property with the photosensitive layer on a supporting body. SOLUTION: (A) A photosensitive layer which contains a polymer compd. having alkali-soluble groups, a crosslinking agent which crosslinks by acid, a compd. which produces acid by light or heat, and an IR absorbent, and (B) an overcoat layer which is transparent for active rays and has adhesion property with the photosensitive layer are successively formed on a supporting body. The overcoat layer (B) is formed in order to prevent intrusion of compds. such as water in air, base, acid and oxygen which inhibit intrusion of base to trap the acid produced during exposure or inhibit the reaction produced in the photosensitive layer (A) into the photosensitive layer (A). |
