WIRE SAW AND WORK CUTTING METHOD USING WIRE SAW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent various malfunction caused by run-out of abrasive grains by constantly supplying a sufficient abrasive liquid between a wire and a work at its cut part to prevent the run-out of the abrasive grain in the work cutting. SOLUTION: An ingot I is relatively pressed against a traveling wire 11a (wire row 11) while supplying a free abrasive grain-containing abrasive liquid. Its grinding action cuts the ingot I. Where, wire vibration means 18 forcibly vibrates contact parts with the ingot-connecting part of the traveling wire 11a with the aid of the projection 16a of a cam roller 16 rotated by means of an electric motor 17. The result makes a gap between the wire 11a and the ingot I at its cut part for every vibration. Flowing the abrasive liquid into the gap replenishes the free abrasive grain.
