Measuring electrical quantities in combustion chamber

Electrical quantities in a combustion chamber (5) may be measured using a probe (12) and associated electrical connection which enter the combustion chamber via channels (14,16) in the outer wall of a sparking plug (1). The probe has a head (18) and a body (19) protected by an insulating tube (17) and the connection is insulated and protected by an earthed sheath. All materials including cements are thermally coordinated.
