<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of the image density and resolution of a toner and the occurrence of fog and to enhance transfer efficiency. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner contains a bonding resin, a particulate colorant, an electrostatic charge controlling agent and a wax. Since the particulate colorant contains fine particles charged to polarity reverse to that of the electrostatic charge controlling agent, the controlling agent is attracted to the charged fine particles and uniformly dispersed on the surface of the colorant particles. The colorant and the controlling agent are uniformly dispersed in the mixture, the lowering of the image density and resolution of the toner and the occurrence of fog are prevented and the transfer efficiency is enhanced.</p> |
