<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive charge type toner superior in resistances to occurrences of smears and an offset and filming and superior in quick rising in initial charging and charge stability. SOLUTION: The positive charge type toner comprises (A) a binder resin containing no positive chargeable factor; (B) a polymer obtained by copolymerizing a vinyl monomer with a quaternary amino chloride monomer (MTAS, for example) in a polymerization weight ratio of 7:3-9:1, (B') a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a vinyl monomer with an aminomonomer in a polymerization weight ratio of 5:5-7.5:2.5; (C) a quaternized vinyl monomer represented by general, formula I; and (D) a polypropylene wax and a polyethylene wax. In general formula I, R1 is a 1-8C alkyl or benzyl group; each of R2 and R3 is, independently, a 1-18C alkyl or benzyl group; and each of X and Y is, independently, H atom or hydroxyl group but each is not H atom at the same time.</p> |
