PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the continuous operation of a fluid operation-type tool with the rotation of a screw-type connector such as a bolt and a nut, by unidirectionally rotating a ratchet wheel by the reciprocation of a piston, and switching the reciprocation of the piston by sensing the engagement of a claw with the ratchet wheel. SOLUTION: When a piston 3 in a cylinder 2 is moved left (advance stroke) by receiving the working fluid from a pump 5, a driving plate 13 is rotated in the anticlockwise direction around a pin 14, a claw 9 engaged with a tooth of a ratchet wheel 6 is moved to rotate the ratchet wheel 6, and a screw-type connector is rotated in the clockwise direction through a central shaft 8. When the piston 3 is moved right (retraction stroke), a claw 10 is engaged with a tooth of the ratchet wheel 6 to rotate the ratchet wheel 6, and the screw-type connector is rotated in the anticlockwise direction. On this occasion, the instant when the claws 9, 10 are engaged with the teeth of the ratchet wheel 6 are sensed by the sensing means 16, 17, and a valve 20 is switched on the basis of the sensing signals to continuously rotate the ratchet wheel 6.
