PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an acrylic rubber which has good vulcanization characteristics, is excellent in the balance among resistances to cold, oil, and heat, and has good low-temperature compression set. SOLUTION: In this method, a latex of an acrylic rubber comprising 0.1 wt.% or higher but lower than 5 wt.% ethylene monomer units, 1-12 wt.% monoalkyl maleate units each having a 1-4C alkyl and/or monoalkoxyalkyl maleate units each having a 1-4C alkylene and a 1-4C alkyl, and 98.9-83 wt.% alkyl acrylate units and/or alkoxyalkyl acrylate units is continuously subjected to coagulation, dehydration, cleaning, and drying in a dehydrating and drying apparatus of a screw extruder type to give a dry rubber. |
