<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the antitheft performance of a door locking apparatus for an automobile, which has achieved so-called double-action override operation. SOLUTION: The door locking apparatus for an automobile, is comprised of an operating lever 21 and a switching lever 24. The operating lever 21 is arranged in a transmission path between an inside lever 19 and an outside lever 15. Further, the operating lever 21 is interlocked with a locking/unlocking lever 12 such that when the operating lever 12 is moved in an opening direction by the inside lever 19, it moves the outside lever 15 in the opening direction and moves the locking/unlocking lever 12 from a locked position to an unlocked position. The switching lever 24 can move to the unlocked position where the operating lever 21 can be moved in the opening direction by the inside lever 19, and to the locked position where it cannot be moved in the opening direction.</p> |
