PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a shock absorber 1 from the damage caused by a stopper member due to the load applied to the adjusting ring arranged on the end face side of a casing 2 enough to cause a piston 10 to exceed a maximum permissible stroke by improving the shock absorber 1 wherein the piston 10 is sealed and led through an end face of the casing 2, resulting in the rush of a load against the stopper member, as a result, the piston slides and pressurized fluid is pushed down due to squeezing work, and the maximum stroke of the piston is restricted by a support member, resulting in the bumping of the stopper member against the support member, as a result, the support member is formed by the solid part itself of the casing 2. SOLUTION: The stopper member is formed into a needle shape stopper cap 13, and the stopper cap 13 supports the adjusting ring 29 projected on the end face of the casing 2 at a stopper position, and the damping constant of the shock absorber 1 can be adjusted by the adjusting ring 29. |
