<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing ink composition curable with energy ray, enabling the improvement in the fluidity and having excellent printing suitability, emulsion property and coating film property and provide a method for producing the composition. SOLUTION: The printing ink composition curable with energy ray contains one or more gelling agents selected from the compounds of general formula (I) (R1, R2 and R3 are each a fatty acid residue or hydrogen atom provided that at least one of the groups is a fatty acid residue and at least one of the fatty acid residues has one or more hydroxy groups; and R4 is H, CH3 or CH2CH3) and the compounds of general formula (II) R5-X (R5 is an organic group having one or more hydroxy groups; and X is carboxy group or hydroxy group). The compound for the printing ink curable with energy ray contains the above gelling agent. The method for the production of the printing ink composition curable with energy ray comprises the mixing of the compound with an ink base.</p> |
