PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recovering salt and mineral water, characterized in recovering salt, from sea water. SOLUTION: The mineral water containing minerals is obtained by housing sea water in a cooker 3, in which animal oil or vegetable oil is housed, to be in contact with the mineral oil or the vegetable oil, heating the inside of the cooker 3 to increase the temperature of the housed sea water from room temperature to 100-110 deg.C, reducing the pressure of the cooker 3 to absolute 500-600 mmHg at the initial period of the treatment to evaporate water from sea water and recovering the steam and in the end period of the treatment, the salt is recovered by controlling the absolute pressure to 10-30 mmHg near to the vacuum, taking out the oil, in which the salt remains, from the cooler 3 and removing oil from the salt with oil taste left.
