METHOD OF CLEANING CATALYST WET PROCESS OXIDATION EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regenerate catalysts by efficiently cleaning away the scale sticking to catalyst surfaces with catalyst wet process oxidation equipment for treating waste water in which metals coexist together with ammonia. SOLUTION: Cleaning is carried out by using a cleaning liquid of a pH >=11 containing ammonia and/or ammonium salt in the method of cleaning the catalyst wet process oxidation equipment packed with the catalysts for subjecting the ammonia in the waste water containing the ammonia and the metals to catalyst wet process oxidation decomposition by passing the waste water through the equipment and bringing the ammonia in the waste water into contact with the catalysts in the presence of an oxidizing agent.
