PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of releasing, opening and shutting a fixed sliding window by one hand and maintaining a visual field of the sliding window as wide as possible. SOLUTION: A fixing release and opening and shutting device of the sliding window is placed on the surface of the sliding window, and it is constituted of a pair of engaging means energized so as to separate from each other in the direction at right angles to a sliding direction of the window, a pair of guide means for guiding the slide of the sliding door having a constitution engaged with a pair of engaging means on both sides of the sliding window and a handle located on a middle part of a pair of engaging means and capable of operating them in the opposite direction to an energized direction of a pair of engaging means.
