PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new application of a chondroitinase, especially chondroitinase ABC, specifically to provide a pharmaceutical preparation making use of the activity to prevent or inhibit cyto/histotoxicities due to nitrogen oxides or anti-inflammatory activity. SOLUTION: A chondroitinase, for example, chondroitinase ABC, is used as the objective nitrogen oxide production inhibitor, as a pharmaceutical preparation for the administration to the intervertebral disk or dura mater spinalis outer cavity, e.g. for treating hernia of the intervertebral disk, as a prophylactic agent or inhibitor for cyto/histotoxicities, or as an anti-inflammatory agent. |
