PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify quickly the vehicle position, even when position data acquired by a car navigation device have no continuity between them. SOLUTION: This car navigation device 1 specifies the vehicle position based on the position data received from a portable information terminal 18, when the position data acquired by the device itself have no continuity between them. The position data capable of supplementing a period wherein the position data acquired by the car navigation device 1 have no continuity are acquired by the portable information terminal 18, and the acquired position data are transmitted to the car navigation device 1. Hereby, the period can be complemented by the position data acquired by the portable information terminal 18, and the vehicle position can be specified quickly.
