PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a finishing method for obtaining a fabric Hook-and- loop fastener capable of reliably fixing base parts of engaging elements to a ground fabric made of a knitted or woven texture or a nonwoven fabric or fiber entanglement parts of the ground fabric of the knitted or woven texture and the nonwoven fabric by simple processes regardless of the form of the engaging elements, superior in flexibility with a coating agent hardly adhering or setting at the protrusion surfaces of the engaging elements, and not hindering sewing or machining and the fabric Hook-and-Loop fastener obtained by the finishing method. SOLUTION: A large number of the engaging elements (3 and 4) are formed in the ground fabric (2) in the fabric Hook-and-Loop fastener (1). While the fabric Hook-and-Loop fastener is continuously transferred, a hot-melt adhesive (5) in a powder form is provided from a separated location toward a surface in which the engaging elements (3 and 4) are formed. Then the Hook-and-Loop fastener (1) applied with the adhesive (5) is heated at temperatures exceeding the melting temperature of the adhesive (5) for a required time to melt the applied adhesive (5), and the Hook-and-Loop fastener (1) is cooled down. |
