PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery protective circuit which can secure the safety and reliability of a chargeable secondary battery. SOLUTION: A portable terminal is equipped with a terminal body circuit 30 and a battery block 60. The battery block 60 includes a battery 20 and a current quantity control circuit 50. The battery 20 is charged via an AC adaptor. The current quantity control circuit 50 includes a current temperature detecting circuit (PTC element, etc.), which moves to reduce the quantity of current when the quantity of current flowing to the battery 20 comes to the vicinity of the boundary value in a charge guarantee region capable of charging the battery 20. The current temperature detecting circuit detects the current value flowing to the battery 20 and the surrounding temperature of the battery 20, and reduces the current value when the current value and the surrounding temperature reach the values in the first protective region.
