PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure general-purpose properties and flexibly cope with the number of bits of quantization when quantization with a smaller number of bits is performed to multivalued image data of two or more colors by using an error diffusion method. SOLUTION: The multivalued data of two colors are turned into I'0 , I'1 by addition of error distributed to the position, and inputted in an output decision part 2. LUT 7-0 and LUT 7-1 convert the inputted I'0 and I'1 to numerical values whose number of quantization is smaller. LUT 4 receives the data from the LUT 7-0 and the data from the LUT 7-1 as coordinate values in a two-dimensional coordinate system, and outputs bit data after binarization of the two colors (the sum is 2 bits). |
