A vessel (1) containing several fluids has at least two microwave beam emitters (13) and at least two microwave beam receptors (15) on first and second rods (12, 14), respectively. Means (17) of treatment record and analyze the beams received by the receptors and emitted by the source. The beam received by each receptor is recorded as each emitter is connected to the source in turn. A source (16) of microwave beams is connected to the emitters. The first and second rods are vertical, and are separated by 5-50 mm. The distance separating two consecutive emitters on the first rod and between two consecutive receptors on the second rod is 10-30 mm. The source emits a microwave beam with a frequency of between 1 and 10GHz. An Independent claim is included for a method for using the above device, where the source emits a microwave beam, the means of treatment record the beam emitted by the source, one of the emitters is connected to the source and the means of treatment records the microwave beam received by each receptor. This is repeated for each emitter, and the means of treatment then analyzes the recorded microwave beams. The whole procedure (except final analysis) can then be repeated for one or three different microwave frequencies, before the final analysis is performed. The means of treatment records the variation in intensity and in phase between the emitted and the received microwave beam. |
