PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rug that is very comfortable to use as the user who usually uses a stationary and fixed chair or seat is allowed to dissipate, without being aware, stresses built up in his feet, legs, neck, lower part, loin, back, shoulders, lower part/upper part of the body and the like, by making subtle changes in his posture or the like through the subconscious movements of his bones and muscles, even if seated on the carpet for a long time in an almost fixed posture. SOLUTION: The rug has a base part and a seat part for the loin. The seat part and the base part are directly connected together or placed one on the other in such a manner as to form a pivoting mechanism capable of pivotal motion according to a curved face of a predetermined shape. Further, a slip preventer is inserted in a pivoting space between the seat part and the base part and gravity/acceleration/centrifugal force acting on the rug is converted by the slip preventer and the pivoting mechanism into a limited part pivotal cushioning movement of the seat part.
