PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shield case for electronic component provided with a rib extending from a fitting claw part to a cover plate in order to enhance strength of the entire case including the claw part. SOLUTION: An outer rib 21 extending to a cover plate 12 through any one of outer longitudinal plates 13-17 is provided at each outer claw part 20 of a shield case 11, and an inner rib 23 extending to the cover plate 12 through any one of inner longitudinal plates 18 and 19 is provided at each inner claw part 22. When the shield case 11 is fitted to a substrate 1, its claw parts 20 and 22 can be prevented from being bent erroneously and the case 11 can be fitted to an accurate position by touching the ribs 21 and 23 to the circumferential wall of through holes 4.
