MOVING PICTURE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture compression transmission system capable of obtaining a high definition image even when a temporary stop function is validated on any scene.

SOLUTION: The moving picture transmission system for transmitting/ receiving encoded moving picture compression data via a transmission line is configured such that when a receiver side displays a still picture wherein no motion exists, a transmission side reads an image stored in a memory before compression coding processing at that time, transmits the compression data subjected to prescribed compression coding processing to the receiver side, and the receiver side displays an image resulting from decoding the compression data. The temporary stop function is validated at any scene to obtain excellent image quality by performing a temporary stop operation before the compression processing.
