PURPOSE: Provided is an implant having a magnesium titanate oxide layer for use in a medical field as a bio-implant material, which has improved biocompatibility and bioactivity. CONSTITUTION: The magnesium titanate implant comprises: an implant main body comprising titanium or titanium alloys; and a magnesium titanate oxide layer formed on the surface of the main body. Additionally, the implant is manufactured by the method comprising the steps of: irradiating the implant main body with UV in distilled water; dipping the UV-irradiated main body into an electrolyte solution containing magnesium; and applying a magnesium titanate oxide layer on the main body by anodic oxidation at an electric voltage of 60-500 V.
