METHOD FOR DELETING NEIGHBOR CELL LIST IN CASE OF REDUCING A SYSTEM, PARTICULARLY FOR PREVENTING HANDOVER TO A REDUCED NEIGHBOR CELL BY AUTOMATICALLY DELETING THE REDUCED NEIGHBOR CELL

PURPOSE: A method for deleting a neighbor cell list in case of reducing a system is provided to increase the efficiency of a mobile communication system by enabling a base station management system to automatically reduce a cell. CONSTITUTION: A URM(UMTS Radio Manager) receives a command for reducing a specific base station from an operator of a mobile communication system.(400). The URM reduces the base station and analyzes base stations which manage cells that the reduced base station has managed as adjacent cells(402). The URM resets a PLD(Process Loading Data) of an RNC(Radio Network Controller) which has managed the reduced base station(404). The URM creates information on adjacent cells of a different RNC which manages the cells that the reduced base station have managed as adjacent cells, as an ESF file format(406). The URM determines whether there is an RNC which manages the cells that have been managed by the reduced base station as adjacent cells(408). If there is no RNC which manages the cells that have been managed by the reduced base station as adjacent cells, it is terminated(410).
