<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which a reflective region and a transmissive region are completely distinguished from each other and further variation of reflection characteristics in the reflective region and that of transmission characteristics in the transmissive region are little and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is constructed by disposing a backlight means BL on a liquid crystal display panel LP wherein an insulating film 16 and a metal reflection film 17 straddling at least a display pixel region 6 are adhered to and formed on a substrate 2 placed on the rear face side of the liquid crystal panel LP and further a color filter 18 is adhered to and formed on a region corresponding to the display pixel region.
