<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lacrimal punctum plug, even if a flange 23 of a lacrimal punctum plug 20 is entered in the lacrimal canaliculus in inserting a lacrimal punctum plug set for treating a dry eye, easily pulling out the flange 23, being surely and rightly inserting it, fitted to the sizes of the lacrimal punctum and the lacrimal canaliculus of each person and providing the user with good installation feeling. <P>SOLUTION: Both ends of a thread 31 inserted in the lacrimal punctum plug 20 is connected by a ligature, adhesive, or an adhesive tape and, for being easily picked with tweezers, a thick connecting part 38 is formed. One end of the thread 31 is attached to an inserter 33, the thread 31 is inserted in the lacrimal punctum plug 20, and then the other end of the thread 31 may be fixed to the inserter 33. Or, the thread 31 is pulled with the tweezers or the inserter so as to pull out the flange 23 entered in the lacrimal canaliculus. This constitution can surely and safely indwell the lacrimal punctum plug 20, so that the diameter (b) of the flange 23 can be made smaller than the diameter (a) of the tip part 21 according to the sizes of the lacrimal punctum and the lacrimal canaliculus of each person. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
