<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide terminal equipment which is reduced in size and weight without the need for carrying important archive data, and to provide a communication method. <P>SOLUTION: As shown in the figure, the terminal equipment 100 is provided with an input device 106 and an output device 107. The input device 106 configures a first projection means showing the image of an input means by projecting light at the flat surface (a first projection surface) of a desk, a notebook, and the like.
