<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dry type dye sensitized solar battery easy to manufacture, excellent in photoelectric conversion property and durability. <P>SOLUTION: The dye sensitized solar battery comprises an action electrode 5 having a porous semiconductor layer 9 covered by a dyestuff 2, a counter electrode 7 arranged so as to face the action electrode 5, and a hole transport layer 10 arranged between the action electrode and the counter electrode 7. The hole transport layer contains metallocene compound having a metallocene portion at least on its primary chain skeleton of conductive polymer.
