<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that red light cannot be suppressed effectively by a conventional vehicular infrared light projector. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular infrared light projector is provided with a main reflecting face 9; a discharge lamp 2; a non-spherical projection lens 3; a filter 4 having infrared light transmitting property located at flat non-spherical face side of the projection lens 3, arranged in a light passage of reflected light L6 which is a light L4 emitted from the discharge lamp 2 and reflected on the main reflecting face 9; and sub-reflection faces 13, 16 arranged on the outer peripheral part side of the projection lens 3, reflecting a light L5 travelling from the discharge lamp 2 without passing through the filter 4, and making the reflected light incident on outer peripheral part of the projection lens 3. The color of the lights L1, L2 reflected by the main reflection face 9, passing through the filter 4, and incident on the non-spherical side thereof; and the color of the light L3 incident on the outer peripheral part from the sub-reflection faces 13, 16 without passing through the filter 4, led to the outer peripheral part at opposite side by a reflecting action of the filter 4 and a light guide action of the projection lens 3; are mixed at the projection lens 3, and irradiated outward.
