<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional panel installation method capable of installing a functional panel even on a roof surface having a height difference without bending, by freely adjusting the height for installing a sash bar material to a fixture installed on a support roof tile. <P>SOLUTION: This functional panel installation method installs the functional panel 7 on this sash bar material 4, by fixing the sash bar material 4 to this fixture 3, by installing the fixture 3 on an upper surface of this support roof tile 2, by replacing a part of roof tiles for laying a roof 17 with the support roof tile 2. The method uses an object formed by projecting a pair of fixing pieces 8 as the fixture 3 and an object formed by periodically arranging a recessed part 9 and a projecting part 11 on a side surface as the sash bar material 4. The sash bar material 4 is inserted between the pair of fixing pieces 8. An engaging part 14 formed in the fixing pieces 8 is locked on the side surface of the sash bar material 4. Afterwards, a screw hole 15 is bored so as to reach the inside of the sash bar material 4 by penetrating through the fixing pieces 8.
