PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a resin or resin particles through inhibiting decomposition reaction and through mitigating the burden on the environment, and to provide the resultant resin particles.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the resin or resin particles comprises the following process: A polycondensation reaction progress is accomplished by removing byproducts out of the reaction system in a fluid comprising a supercritical fluid and/or subcritical fluid. The resin particles are produced by the method.
