The release safety device for a nailing machine has a sensor element which can be moved from a set up position to a rest position by means of a guide foot. It allows operation of the nailing device when it is operated in conjunction with a withdrawal lever mounted on the nailing device body. This has a magazine for storage of the fastening nail material, and has the two movable sections of the release safety device attached between side walls (7) which cover over the movable sections for a specific section of their length.
