Barbed strip for barrier against military vehicles - pressed from steel strip with barbs extended on tensioning

The barbed strip is made by pressing openings into the edge of a metal strip. The zig-zig shaped strip can be placed as a flat material and the radially outwards spreading barbs are generated simply by stretching the strip as it is wound out. The barbed material is readily picked up by the wheels or sprockets of the vehicles attempting to cross the barrier. The strip has basically a zig-zig shape (1a), parts being at an acute angle (alpha) relative to each other. The permanent barbed arrangement is obtained by the mutual relative twisting of the connecting parts (3, 4) of the zig-zag shape and hence there are formed barbs (5, 6) which project outwards.
