A roof mounted ventilator device consisting of a cover which is similar to a roof in design and mounted above the shaft aperture of the roof itself, having wind guide surfaces on its outersides running a lateral separations from each other. Constructed such that the cover (3) has U-profiles (8) which are situated at a close spacings from each other in a section of the cover (3) at right angles to the plane of inclination of the cover (3). The U-profiles (8) are open at their bases and are covered by other U-profiles (9) also open at their bases, having a vertical baffle.
