The sports training device consists of a three legged frame in which the two rear legs are linked together. The rear legs (11, 12) are linked to the front leg (13) by a pivot bolt. At one base the rear legs (11, 12) are fitted by pivots (16, 17) to shoes (18, 19). At the base of the front leg (13) is a wheel (20) the top of the front leg is extended to carry a seat (22). A handle bar (27) pivots on the front leg (13) and is linked by pivoting rods (29) to the rear legs (11, 12). The user sits on the seat (22) and spreads the legs by pushing the handle bar (27) forwards. By pulling the bar back the legs are closed again. Compensation for the users body weight is made by a spring below the seat. In another variation the legs can be provided with uni-directional wheels enabling the machine to be propelled forwards by opening and closing its legs.
