Retractable undercarriage for aircraft - has lever system ensuring that wheels are displaced in vertical direction

The retractable hinged undercarriage has vertically acting suspension spring for wheels. The vertical axis is parallel to the vertical axis of the given vehicle or aircraft unit. The undercarriage movements restricted only to the vertical direction ensure that the wheel tyres are not excessively loaded. The undercarriage wheels are pivoted by two linked four bar linkages to the aircraft cell. The first four bar linkage has also a double arm lever and transmission level with the first rod connected to each other by four links. The second four bar linkage is connected by a second rod and transmission leverl and it is connected by further pivoted members to the aircraft cell.
