The extinguishing agent release is effected by heat using suitable resistances. A variable number of fire fighting appliances are connected in series in loop wires to a working capacitor in conjunction with a current limiting circuit. The circuit produces current of a constant limited intensity for the activation of the fire fighting installation. The loop contains a crystal diode which makes the loop a low-resistance one, if a release current of a different direction than that of the holding current occurs.
