The guide is for the floating frame of a disc brake, particularly on motor vehicles, the frame fitting over the disc in a chord pattern and sliding at right angles to it in relation to the frame-type brake support. The latter also fits over the disc in a chord pattern, having two each lenghtwise and transverse members, the latter supporting the floating frame, which has one or more brake cylinders. The guide is formed by ribs (22) on both sides of the disc and extending outwards in the axial direction from the lengthwise support members. These engage in mating grooves (23) in the lengthwise members (17) of the floating frame (14).
