PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a cylinder arrangement by constituting same such that motion of a piston is transmitted to a position identifier by way of a wire and a take-up roller. CONSTITUTION:A piston 2 is reciprocated within a cylinder 6 when operating fluid is alternately charged into and discharged from two chambers A, B in the cylinder 6 through respective inlet/outlet ports 7, 8 provided therefor. Motion of the piston 2 is transmitted to a position identifier 22 by way of a wire 10, a take-up roller 15, gears 21, 24, and an input shaft 23. The position identifier 22 identifies the position of the piston 2 to convert it into an electric signal to be output therefrom. A seal member 12 seals a head flange through-hole 11 through which the wire 10 extends to prevent the operating fluid from leaking from the through-hole 11. The wire 10 is tensioned by a spiral spring 20 so that it may be taken up on the take-up roller 15 without slackening. |
