PURPOSE:To mix foam directly into treating fluid by introducing the foam through a foam lead-in port into a mixing tank, introducing the fluid to be treated through the fluid lead-in port on the upper stream side of the foam lead-in port, producing vortex flow by the effect of rotary vanes in the tank and including the foam into this flow. CONSTITUTION:Foam is introduced through a foam lead-in port 4 into a mixing tank 3 having one or more rotary vanes 2 on the central axis of a foam mixer 1, whilist the treating fluid contg. solids, for example, excess sludge to be treated, is introduced through a fluid lead-in port 5. Vortex flow is produced in the fluid to be treated by the effect of the rotary vanes 2 driven by a motor M, and this flow includes the foam and while it is flowing by carrying the foam to the lower stream side, the foam is mixed with the fluid to be treated. The foam dispersed mixture arriving at the bottom of the tank 3 is accelerated by a guide 8 and rotary vanes 7 and is sent to the bottom of, for example, a floating separation tank through an exhaust port 6. |
