PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting device for determining whether to go out capable of determining whether to recommend going out when power saving is requested with the corresponding user's potential losses resulting from going out taken into account.SOLUTION: Provided is a supporting device 10 for determining whether to go out which comprises a first acquisition unit 11, a second acquisition unit 12, an assessment unit 13, and a determination unit 14. The first acquisition unit 11 acquires power saving information requesting power saving, while the second acquisition unit 12 acquires local area information related to risks resulting from going out in a particular district where the house of a consumer requested to save power is located. The assessment unit 13 assesses a risk level resulting from going out during a period of the power saving informed by the power saving information on the basis of the local area information.
