PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial heart valve which can be folded and expanded in a radial direction.SOLUTION: There is provided an embodiment of an artificial heart valve capable of being folded and expanded in a radial direction. A valve frame can comprise a taper contour when being attached to a delivery shaft, and an inflow end part has diameter smaller than that of an outflow end part. The valve comprises approximately V-shaped valve apexes, thereby a material in the inflow end of the frame is reduced. An outside skirt can be fixed to outside of the inflow end part of the frame, the outside skirt has slackness in a longitudinal direction when the valve is expanded, and is positioned in a flat state to the frame when the valve is folded. An inside skirt which is woven on a diagonal line can be extended in an axial direction with the frame. A side tab of the adjacent valve apex passes a window frame part of the frame and extends, and is fixed to the window frame part, for forming commissure. When the valve is crimped to the delivery shaft, the window frame part can be dropped inward in the radial direction to the surrounding frame part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
